THE BIGGER THE BETTER

“Getting big, sexy curls and adding oomph to your hair is easy to achieve with the help of a great root amplifier and a curling iron,” says Laurent. Use a root amplifier like Privé’s Shining Weightless Amplifier on damp hair to add volume and protect hair from thermal styling. Once hair is blown dry, part down the middle and curl hair with a large curling iron. Bigger, looser curls, Laurent suggests a 1” to 2” barrel. Once hair is curled, flip hair upside down and add hairspray like Privé’s Finishing Hair Spray for hold and extra volume.

PUMP UP THE ROOTS

“Ultimately, volume starts at the roots,” reminds Laurent. To kick off your look, Laurent recommends using Privé’s Root Amplifier on your damp hair. Next, flip your hair upside down to blow dry, and use a paddle brush to straighten hair as you dry. Once dry, use a round brush to shape your hair whether curling the end under or using the brush to round out a pompadour look. If you want added volume, Laurent suggests teasing your roots at the crown of your head and then smoothing out the top layer of your hair for a soft, sleek put-together poof.
